It's All Going According To Plan

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.”

Ecclessiastes 3:11


Like most of the world I too have had my fill of “following the science”. If there is anything we know for certain after dealing with the Coronavirus these last few years is scientific fact is subject to change. Maybe thats why science for centuries has been known as an observation because one of the key components of science being accepted as fact is in its verifiability, being observable which is the very opposite of faith to the scientific community.

There are three unique characteristics to God, His omniscience, His omnipotence and His omnipresence. Only God is all knowing, all powerful and everywhere present in the past, present, and future simultaneously which refute any notion of evolution and yet maybe its God’s omniscience which best demonstrates He is the God of creation and that nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing exists in this universe by chance. We are all here by grand design. Behind every piece of art there is an artist, just as every design has an engineer. All of creation owes its existence to a Creator.

It’s pure nonsense to believe, “once there was nothing and nothing exploded (Big Bang) and then there was something.” If you think honestly about it, it would take more faith to believe in evolution than it does to believe that God created everything. Why is believing in creation so important? Believing in creation means God is in and behind everything taking place in the world today and just as important it means God is in control of everything since nothing happens or is left to chance.

Consider when God called the prophet Jeremiah. Jeremiah 1:4-5 tells us, “Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations." These two little verses totally annihilate any thought of evolution because of the fact that God knows before matter is what matter will be. There are no accidents in this life and you and I are here today by God’s design and not only are we here by design, we each have a destiny too. The Bible makes clear, God has always known us and had a plan for us.

Understanding that God is the God of creation is to recognize His sovereignty over His creation which allows for you and I to trust the unknown and the unseen to Him. We might not know what the future holds today but we can rest assured in who holds the future. Ephesians 2:10 says it best, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” The best way to go through this life isn’t trying to figure everything out on your own but rather to place your hope and trust in the One who already knows everything, and who has a plan and purpose all mapped out with just you in mind. No matter what happens in the world today we can say with full assurance of heart, “Its all going according to plan.”
