An Incentive To Pray
“Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come”
Jeremiah 33:3
I read this quote the other day that encouraged my own heart and I pray it encourages yours. The quote said, “If you are praying about it God is working on it” and as soon as I read it the words of Jesus came to mind when He said, “Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!” Jesus wasn’t saying that we don’t need to pray but on the contrary, Jesus was inviting us to pray because God is watching, He’s listening and He knows exactly what we have need of even before we pray.
Gods eye is upon us the same way His eye is on the sparrow that Jesus speaks of in Matthew 10:29-31, “What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.” Yes, loved one, you are far more valuable to God than a sparrow and He is completely aware of what’s going on in your life today so rest assured that when you talk to God in prayer He has already been working to answer your request according to His perfect will.
Billy Graham once said, “Heaven is a storehouse of answered prayers that are yet to be prayed.” Everything God does He does through prayer! Knowing this you and I have an incentive to pray today knowing, God answers prayer!
