With You Always

“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.”

Isaiah 30:21

Have you ever felt like you heard someone call your name and when you turned around there was no one there? Or they were there and you just didn’t know? The point is simple today. Christianity isn’t a religion, it’s a relationship with a risen Savior and a living Lord. When God wants to communicate with His children He speaks to them. We have His Word on it. In the Old Testament one of the greatest revelations the unbelieving world would testify regarding the nation of Israel was that the God of Israel tabernacled with them, He was among them. All the false gods of the world were territorial. You had the god of the mountains, the god of the river, the wind god, the god of the sea, yet there was only one God who was not bound by space or time, that being the Lord our God!

Wherever the nation of Israel would go God was in the midst of them. What was true in the Old Testament is also true in the New Testament too. Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 28:20, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” But the good news of the gospel actually is great news for you and me today. Jesus doesn’t just go with us, He promises to be in us when we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, and you can’t get any closer than that. Colossians 1:27 says it best, “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

Just think, we don’t have to go it alone any longer, we never have to be alone, nor do we need to rely on our own strength. Because the Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever, He is with us now to lead us and to guide us as we go about our day just like He was with an entire nation and just like He was with the disciples. Jesus is with you today! Listen for His voice. It may come from behind you, it might come from within, but make no mistake about it, God is speaking to you today, and He’s not barking orders as some might think! God is there to listen, to comfort, to encourage and direct. He’s the friend who sticks closer than a brother. Don’t take my word for it, take His. Pick up your bible and hear for yourself the very voice of God speaking to you!

“The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

Zephaniah 3:17

I LOVE YOU!
