How To Fight Inflation

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

If you have been to the store lately you know that inflation is real as the price of everything has gone way up.  Talk about prices being high, the Kern County Fair is in town this week and I can’t believe how expensive it is. One dad told me his son ordered a few items for dinner, a piece of chicken, one ear of corn on the cob and a baked potato along with something to drink and the total came out to $31.00. Another guy sent me a picture of a Fair favorite, “funnel cake” that only cost $18.00 for one! Thank God my wife had no interest in going this year. No worry of what we would have needed to sell in order to go, lol.

Here’s something to think about today regarding worry. Are you aware that the word “worry” comes to us from an old English root which means “to choke.” As Corrie Ten Boom once observed, “Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength. It does not enable us to escape evil, it makes us unfit to face evil when it comes. It is the interest you pay on trouble before it comes.”

The bottom line is none of us can afford to worry today, the price is too great on our health, our well being, and the peace of mind that God wants us to enjoy always but even more so in times like these we are living in today. Yes, inflation is on the rise but don't allow it to choke out your joy! Remember, you have an invitation from God today to bring all your worries and cares to Him and to cast them upon Him and leave them there for the simple fact, He cares about you! The best way to fight inflation is on our knees giving everything to God in prayer. What are you waiting for? Don't worry, be happy!
