It's All Good

“for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.”

Colossians 1:16

J.I. Packer penned the following words that echo what the apostle Paul wrote to the church in Colasse, “To know that nothing happens in God’s world apart from God’s will may frighten the godless, but it stabilizes the saints.” It’s so true that the sure word of God provides solid footing for the follower of Christ. The world will be shaken Jesus said but we can rest assured if our hope is in God that like the apostle Paul we too can say, “none of these things move me.”

Just think, everything that happens to us in this life must first pass through the filter of God’s love. When you have been disappointed, stay expectant of what God can do. No matter what, choose to praise Him knowing that the proof of our faith is not receiving our desired request but rather we learn the lesson and receive the blessing of patience. Just because you can’t see what God is up to doesn’t mean He is not working. Remember, “The caterpillar grows wings during a season of isolation. Remember that next time you are alone.”
