Your Story Is A Best Seller

“You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men”

2 Corinthians 3:2

Being in ministry I get the privilege to sit with individuals and couples alike and discuss life’s struggles and so I understand when a woman says to me something like, "You know how it is for women. We grow up dreaming of a fairytale marriage and life." And then as they continue, many times through tears they share about how their own life (in their eyes) is anything but a fairytale. The whole time I am thinking to myself, “what a story this is going to be!”

I throughly enjoy asking people what their definition of a fairytale is and as they share their story I like to take notes and capture the key thoughts. Usually when the person gets done with all the intricate details of their life and explaining what a fairytale is to them, I most often respond, "You have the making of a great fairytale story here." After all, what makes a fairytale great is just when the story can't seem to get any worse it does get worse and then when life seems hopeless your prince charming shows up and rescues the damsel in distress and whisks her away to paradise where they live happily ever after. Or if you like the movie Sabrina, the woman you set out to rescue ends up rescuing you.

Regardless of where your own story is at today you need to know you are right on the verge of your very own fairytale life so please do not give up now. We must never forget that the story of each of our lives is made up of chapters. That’s why its so important to not place a period where God puts a comma. Just because one chapter of your life or even more than one chapter is laced with hurt and heartache, sorrow and pain, doesn’t mean your story is finished. Far from it! What we fail to realize and what many of us often forget is, God has the final say. Your story isn’t over! You may not be able to change your past but with God’s help you can change your future! Thats why the gospel is called, “Good News.”

The good news of the Gospel is so good that it often times does sound more like a fairytale than real life. After all, it was Jesus Christ, our redeemer, who came and lived and died and rose again from the grave to show the world that He is capable of saving (rescuing) all who come to Him by faith. That is truth not a fairytale. The Good News of the Gospel is Jesus is in fact right at this very moment preparing a place for us to be with Him in glory and when the timing is just right He will return to take us home to be with Him. Better than a fairytale, its 100% true!

The best chapters of your story are still to be written so don’t give up hope now! Let God do the editing of your life story and remember, “don’t put a period where God has placed a comma”. Just think, because of hope your life has the makings of a best seller!

“clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.”

2 Corinthians 3:3

I LOVE YOU!
