You're Interesting

“How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand…”

Psalm 139:17-18 (NKJV)

Have you ever thought much about the fact that God is far more interested in you than you are of Him? I can prove it. If two people sat down together to share a meal together and enjoy fellowship with one another who would you say was more interested in the other at the meals end? The one who knew a few things about the other person or the one who knew everything there ever was to know about the other person? Im pretty sure we would all agree it would be the latter. For the record, God is the latter. He knows everything about us.

My hope and prayer for you today is to have an experience with God like King David did in the psalms. When he considered his life and how intuitive God is he was overwhelmed. David penned his thoughts in Psalm 139:14-18 where he says, “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.”

Just think, the God who created the heavens and the earth is mindful of you too. He is interested in you so much so He knows things about you that you are completely unaware. Consider Jesus words in Luke 12:6-7, “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Yes, loved one, when the facts are on the table, God is very interested in you because He loves and cares for you!

Isaiah 43:7 reminds us, “Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him." And we find the reason why in the New Testament when the apostle Paul pens these words in Colossians 1:16, “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.” In other words, you and I are not accidents, we were created by design. We were created for God’s own pleasure loved one, you have gifts and skills that make you unique from every other person who has ever graced this earth, and the best way then to understand how and why God gave us life is to sit before Him, taking an interest in understanding His purposes and plans, getting to know Him through His Word and in prayer.

Yes, loved one, you have a God given invitation to sit with Jesus today to listen and learn from Him. Let God share with you the lengths He went to make it possible for you and I to come to Him. "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18). God knows us so well He knew our greatest need in this life was a Savior and that is exactly why He sent us Jesus! There is no question about it. God is very interested in you!

“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Psalm 16:11

I LOVE YOU!
