Why Wait?

“Praise the LORD! Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”

Psalm 106:1

Why wait until Thanksgiving to give thanks if there are so many benefits to the practice daily? Being thankful sets the tone for more enjoyment in life. Just watch someone who lives a life of gratitude. They tend to appreciate all the little things that others so easily can so easily miss. Are you aware that thankful people are less likely to be stressed out? Did you know studies show that thankful people live longer than people who are ungrateful. It’s a proven fact that truly thankful people are far less likely to be angry people. Like I said, the benefits of being thankful are limitless.

Are you aware that being thankful fosters hope for the future as well as increasing happiness and a positive mood, improved sleep quality as well as helping us to control our emotions in the present. One of the demarcations in the Bible of the end times is an increase in ungratefulness in the world. One of the sure tell ways to recognize a follower of God is the heart of gratitude that overflows from their life in both word and deed. You see friend, children of God have so much to be thankful for because God is at work in everything and can be found anywhere. That was why the psalmist was overcome with joy knowing that there is nowhere a person can go that God isn’t there and is why God Himself calls for us to give thanks in everything for this is His will for us.

The good news is we don’t have to wait for Thanksgiving Day to be thankful and to show our gratitude. Experience the benefits of giving thanks for yourself today by counting your blessings, and seeing the hand of God leading and guiding as you go about your day remembering every step of the way…

“This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Psalm 118:24

I LOVE YOU!
