God's Delays

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9

God’s timing is not like yours our mine for the simple fact that God is not bound by it. God is Omnipresent, meaning He is everywhere all at once, thats why He is the beginning and the end. He can be everywhere at any given time which is wonderful to consider. Just think as God is with me this morning as I sit here writing He is with you wherever you may be. He is never too busy, He never sleeps or slumbers so we cant miss Him by five minutes yet God does delay in answering our prayers and meeting our needs because He is constantly refining us, drawing us closer to Himself. Thats why Peter writes that He is not willing that any should perish. Gods heart is for you and for me. He wants all of us to be saved but He forces none of us to follow Him.

When you and I pray sometimes God says yes, other times He says no and maybe the hardest answers for us to deal with are, not yet, not now. The good news is this, God’s delays are not His denials. Remember this while you are waiting on God to answer your specific prayer requests. He sees perfectly, and because God sees it all we can honestly say, “Father Knows Best”.  Rest in this truth today as you seek God in prayer.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

Matthew 7:7–8

I LOVE YOU!
