Choose Winning!

“…But the greatest of these is love”

1 Corinthians 13:13

Pick up a newspaper or turn on the news and you find that people all around the world have a sense that something is terribly wrong. The Bible warns us that one of the demarcations of the last days will be that, “…the love of many will wax cold” (Matthew 24:12).   As people become more and more hopeless they get the sense that all is lost. Here is today’s newsflash! Not only is all not lost but even better! You never have to lose again! It’s true. I recall a quote by Brad Pitt who played Major League Baseball general manager Billy Bean of the Oakland Athletics in the movie “Moneyball.” In the movie Billy Bean talked about winning and losing and he said, “I hate losing. I hate losing more than I like winning” and my prayer today is you do too. In truth, no one enjoys losing and the good news of the Gospel is you don’t ever have to lose again in your life if you don’t want to, if you would simply choose not too. Winning and losing are a choice not a consequence? Never forget that.

Every moment of every day, and with each breath we take comes an opportunity to win if only we’d choose too. Most all have heard the expression, “Love Wins”. Love wins because regardless of our situation, no matter what the circumstances, we are free to choose love. Here is how you can win today. Choose to win every conversation you engage in and each attitude you entertain by choosing to love. Love is the choice winners make to win the day. You can’t lose ever when you choose to love because love conquers all. From Genesis to Revelation love wins!

So, make winning your goal today by choosing love. Choose the high road, choose encouragement over hinderance, blessing over cursing and love over hate knowing each time you do you chalk up another point, you outscore the enemy of your soul and ultimately you win the day! Yes, friend, love always wins the day because you can’t lose when you choose love, for God is love!

“Let all that you do be done with love”

1 Corinthians 16:14

I LOVE YOU!
