Set Free

“As He spoke these words, many believed in Him. Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

John 8:30-32

Because of misinformation there is a lot of fear and panic in the world today and yet the days we are facing are openly and truthfully taught in the Bible so we don’t have to live in fear. We are witnessing the fulfillment of Bible prophecy right before our very eyes as nation rises up against nation and kingdom against kingdom just as Jesus promised it would as the world moves further and further away from God. As a Christian I am not moved by the current events as Jesus told us in advance these days were coming and to prepare ourselves for them. As I watch the news and read my Bible I am thankful for the truth of God’s Word and the comfort it brings to me and countless others who are resting in and relying upon it.

As citizens of the United States, we rely on our public officials to tell us the truth regarding public health and safety. Almost daily for the past months there is a “briefing” of some sort in the country where we are given the latest up to date “science”. By now, I think it’s safe to say that the majority of American’s have become skeptical at best of the so called science as the science being reported changes sometimes numerous times throughout the course of any given day. What most of the general population has learned over the past few months now since the COVID-19 pandemic began is "political science" is no longer limited to a college major of the study of politics and power from domestic, international, and comparative perspectives. Sadly, the United States in many ways is being governed by “political science” which is more deadly than any virus.

You deserve to know the truth, a truth that sets you free and God promises that in His Word. If you find yourself uneasy about the news you get from the various news outlets today let me encourage you to change your source. Instead of looking to network or cable television for news, try opening up the pages of your bible and discover or rediscover for yourself the timeless truth of God’s Word. Every word that makes up the printed pages of our Bible comes from God Himself, so you can trust the source. Though the Bible was written down for us by 40 unique authors each one was moved by the Spirit of God in what they wrote. Yes, loved one, you deserve the truth today, a truth that never changes. Jesus said that heaven and earth will one day pass away but His Word will never pass away. You can trust every Word of God. No wonder it's called, "Good News!" With that in mind today,  turn to any page in the Word of God and enjoy listening to God's voice and the freedom it brings remembering,

“But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.' "

Matthew 4:4
