The Best Day of Your Life Starts... Now

"This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. "The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I hope in Him!"

Lamentations 3:21-24

As a pastor I have the privilege of praying for people going through various trials and dealing with all sorts of pains. I am reminded daily of the brevity of life and the old saying, “These are the good old days.” Life is subject to change without notice and yet we have the ability to choose how we will respond to the winding roads marked by the unplanned and unexpected. Today has all kinds of possibilities, loved one and today really could be the best day of your life. The choice is mine, the choice is yours! We do well to heed the words of the apostle Paul who wrote to the church in Ephesus, “redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:16).

So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and enjoy the life Jesus died and rose again for, that we might have life and life to the fullest (John 10:10). It’s promised but not guaranteed. God leaves the choice to trust to us. Take Jesus words to heart today. In Matthew 6:25-34 Jesus said, "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

The point is, no matter what we face during the course of our day each of us can honestly say, “God’s Got This!” The Bible makes clear that this is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. That's right loved one, yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift and is why its called the present! Today is God’s gift to you, what you do with today is your gift to God. Unwrap it, enjoy it fully knowing…

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."

Jeremiah 29:11

I LOVE YOU!
