Your Best IS Yet To Be

“But as it is written: “ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

1 Corinthians 2:9

I answered the phone of a number I didn’t recognize. It was a woman who needed help. She was struggling with alcoholism and it was destroying her life. As we talked I could sense she had lost hope. Not because her future was hopeless but her past was. In an age of victims, it’s important to know that we are all victims, of either our past or our future. The Bible makes clear if we look back in our lives to determine our future we are all hopeless. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” reminds us our past has nothing to offer us. It’s why we must be Born Again. To be born of the Spirit is to have the promise of both a hope and a future.

As we talked on the phone and I prayed for her I reminded her that the Christian life is a life of faith and what she needed more than anything right now was to walk by faith and not by sight. Sharring with her the promises of God she began to grasp, “It’s not what I see but what I WILL see” that really counts and what she needs to keep in mind when things don’t go as she hoped they would. We can’t help but be pulled by something each day. We can be pulled back or down by the cares of the world or we can be pulled forward by the hope and the future that is ours in Christ Jesus.

Remember, for the believer this world is as bad as it gets, for the best is yet to be. For the world, (those who do not know Jesus as Savior and Lord) this world is as good as it gets, and we know in reality this world isn’t all that good and definatley is not getting any better.

Yes, friends, we can enjoy the day and make the most of it because, “all things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to His purposes”. Never forget, loved one, the purpose of God is that we might know Him in every facet of our being as He prepares us for eternity! Everything God does He does forever and with forever in mind. Walk by faith knowing, “faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (yet). Don’t lose your hope, beloved of Jesus. Keep moving forward pressing in and pressing on to know the Lord.

Everything you are going through now will be worth it one day as He who promised is faithful and one day you WILL see Him face to face. And what a day that will be!

“And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.”

1 John 1:4

I LOVE YOU!
