Do For One What You Wish For All

"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”

John 15:16–17

None of us can serve everybody but we can all serve somebody. Isn’t that the message Jesus was teaching His disciples when He told them the story about the Good Samaritan in Luke 10. You recall in the story that Jesus points out that our neighbors are those we cross paths with as we go about our business each day, not necessarily someone that lives near us. Most likely we will not find an injured person on the side of the road to care for today but there is something we each can do every day, “Do for one what you wish for all.” Be prayerful today, loved one, be intentional and look for the doors that open for you to show God’s love to others.

Read the story carefully for yourself in Luke 10:29-37. Take it to heart and seek to “go and do likewise”. There is much hurt in the world today so I doubt you will have to look far to help someone in need. Don’t worry about all that is going on in the world, just focus on who is on your path today as those are the neighbors God has placed there for you. Remember, no one can serve everybody, but everybody can serve somebody.

“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

John 13:35

I LOVE YOU!
