Nothing To Whine About
“Do everything without complaining and arguing”
Philippians 2:14
Sometimes in life God doesn’t remove our problems, instead He makes a way through them. Remember in the book of Exodus where God instructs Moses on how to go about getting Pharaoh to let God’s people go? Who would have thought that God would use the Red Sea as the means of escape. You recall the story in Exodus chapter 14. The children of Israel were hemmed in on all sides. They had mountains on both sides and the Egyptian Army on their heels and nothing but tempest waters of the Red Sea in front of them. Oh, and let’s not forget a bad attitude to go along with everything else. I love how God responds to the children of Israel acting like children. Basically God says, “quit your whining and start walking.” Read it for yourself.
Exodus 14:15-18 tells us, “Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! Pick up your staff and raise your hand over the sea. Divide the water so the Israelites can walk through the middle of the sea on dry ground. And I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they will charge in after the Israelites. My great glory will be displayed through Pharaoh and his troops, his chariots, and his charioteers. When my glory is displayed through them, all Egypt will see my glory and know that I am the LORD!”
God often takes us to the edge so we can’t miss what He is wanting us to see and to know. When we face the impossible in the truest sense we are only arriving at the realm of possibility as nothing is too difficult for our God. Try to remember that the next time you find yourself in what appears to be an impossible situation with no way out. God can and does make a way where there seems to be no way. God didn’t remove the Red Sea, He chose instead to part it. What God did for the nation of Israel, He can do for you! Just don’t make the same mistake the nation of Israel did by whining and complaining. Choose instead to experience victory by keeping your eyes on Jesus and watch what He can do for you!
“We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.”
Hebrews 12:2
I LOVE YOU!
