You Are God's Valentine

“I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.”

Jeremiah 31:3

Happy Valentines Day! Of all the things going through my head as to which I could write about today, nothing is as important to me today than to remind you that you are so very loved by our God. It was well over 3,000 years ago Jeremiah reminded the children of Israel that God had loved them with an everlasting love and nothing has changed in all these years as God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Actually there has never been a time in eternity that God has not loved us, Israel, the church, each and every person who has ever been conceived, both those who were delivered from the womb as well as those who never breathed a breath in this life outside the womb. Every life is loved.

1 John 4 reminds us that God is love, love then is His very nature, His character. John 3:16 reminds us the reason Jesus Christ was born into this world is because the Father loved the world (that includes me and you) so much He gave His one and only Son for us so that we could enjoy a relationship with Him. Thats why Jesus could say, “greater love has no man than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” Love was drove Jesus to the Cross and everything and I mean everything God does He does in love.

Keep that in mind on this Valentines Day when we celebrate love. No one loves you like Jesus loves you. May your day be filled with God’s love as you think about all that the Lord has done for you, is doing for you now and will continue to do for you all the days of your life. Take time today to tell the Lord how much you love and appreciate Him. The greatest joy we have this Valentines Day is to be able to say to the Lord…

“I am my lover’s, and my lover is mine.”

Song of Solomon 6:3

I LOVE YOU!
