Hey Babe

“I am my lover’s, and my lover is mine.”

Song of Solomon 6:3

I read a post on social media the other day that made me laugh as I tried to imagine the scenario in my head. A woman was doing her morning devotional and spending time with the Lord in prayer when she said she called God “Babe” by accident. The funny part was when she realized what she had said she felt awkward for a moment.

Imagine feeling so close to God that you call him “Babe” without even thinking about it. I hope today you feel that close to God as I know that is Jesus prayer for me and you in John 17. In verses 21-23 Jesus prays, “I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. “I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me.”

The Greek word “Ginosko” means “to know intimately, as a man knows a woman face to face”. Jesus prayer for you and me today is that we would know God intimately, not sexually or in any perverse manner, simply deeply and personally. God wants nothing more for us than for us to spend time gazing upon Him as He knows that when we do we too will experience what the song “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus” declares, “Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.” The point is this, when you find the best you will forget the rest!

‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’”

Luke 10:27

I LOVE YOU!
