Ain't No Mountain High Enough

“When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings”

1 Corinthians 9:22–23

It is no surprise to me why the apostle Paul was so effective in reaching lost people with the good news of Jesus Christ. Paul would pretty much do anything short of sinning to reach people for Jesus which is evidenced by the over 10,000 miles he traveled planting over 14 churches in different countries. Paul’s legacy remains me of the lyrics to the song “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” that go like this.

“Ain't no mountain high enough
(Ain't no valley) Ain't no valley low enough
(No river wide) Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you…”

In 1 Corinthians 11:1 the apostle Paul writes, “And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.” Some would say Paul was saying follow him as he is following Jesus and yet what I believe Paul was saying is “imitate my life, my example and that is to follow Jesus Christ.” Lets except the invitation from Paul to imitate him today, imitating Christ who traveled from heaven to earth to save us.. Let’s be willing to go wherever the Lord might lead us today and to whomever Jesus would want us to go and speak to about Him. May our actions today speak as loud and clear as the apostle Paul’s so that when people see our faith being lived out a song comes to their mind too,

“Ain't no mountain high enough
(Ain't no valley) Ain't no valley low enough
(No river wide) Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you…”

May your love and mine remind people of the height and the width and the depth of God’s love for us in Christ!

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:38–39

I LOVE YOU!
