Can I Have Your Attention Please

What comes to mind when someone stands up and
says,
“Can I have your attention please”
The intention of a Doxology is to draw Attention to
the Glory of God
The last three verses of the book of Romans are
what we usually call a doxology.
The word doxology comes from the Greek words
doxa, which means “glory”
, and logos, which
means “word”. So a doxology is a word that
ascribes glory to God.
As the Psalmist declared in Psalm 150:6,
“Let
everything that breathes praise the Lord.”
Our lives are a doxology to Jesus. Our words and
our actions draw attention to Jesus.
