The Prayer of Jesus

Join us tonight as Pastor John Jones continues our verse-by-verse study through the Gospel of John.

Tonight's study takes us from Jesus' final words of encouragement to His disciples into what is often called the High Priestly Prayer—the longest recorded prayer of Jesus in Scripture.

Before going to the cross, Jesus promises His followers lasting peace in a troubled world, reminds them to take courage because He has overcome the world, and then prays for Himself, His disciples, and all future believers—including us.

Tonight we'll explore:

Jesus' promise of peace in the midst of tribulation.

The privilege of approaching the Father through Christ.

The true meaning of eternal life.

Jesus' prayer for His disciples' protection and sanctification.

The authority and truth of God's Word.

Christ's prayer for the unity of all believers.

The incredible truth that Jesus prayed for everyone who would one day believe in Him.

Following tonight's teaching, we'll share in Communion together as we remember Christ's sacrifice and the new covenant established through His body and blood.
