Faith Hope and Love Part 2

You recall last week I shared with you that the apostle Paul wrote the letter to the Corinthian church that was becoming out of order. The main purpose of the church coming together was to magnify God and the best way we magnify God is by allowing the Holy Spirit to flow in and through our lives for the benefit of other people. 

Paul was writing a letter of correction to the church in Corinth and in chapters 12-14 Paul is focusing on the use of Spiritual Gifts in the church. Paul is all for all the gifts as all the gifts of the Spirit are needed and all have a place. The order or the emphasis of the gifts in the church had become a problem. Some within the church put more emphasis on the sign gifts which sadly drew more attention to themselves than to the Lord or those in need of the benefit of the gifts God gives for use in a Congregational setting.
