A Mother Like God: The God of All Comfort

Isaiah 66:13 “I will comfort you there in

Jerusalem as a mother comforts her child.”

All that to say, there is something very special about

a mother's love, and especially her comfort.

“The same deep, instinctive comfort we feel from a

godly mother is actually a window into the tender

heart of God.”

Regardless of whether you had a mom who

comforted you, scripture reveals to us God as the

ultimate Comforter, with mothers as some of His

clearest living illustrations.

When children look back over their lives, the

overwhelming majority look to their moms for

comfort more than their fathers. I believe that is by

God’s design.
