Call Me Daddy

There are few words in Scripture that reveal the
heart of God more beautifully than the word “Abba.”
It is one of only a handful of Aramaic words
preserved in the Greek New Testament.
The Holy Spirit could have translated Abba into
Greek, but He intentionally left it in its original
language because something incredible would have
been lost.
The Christian life is not merely about making it to
heaven, or obeying God’s commandments, or
joining a church.
It is about becoming sons and daughters of God
who know they are deeply loved by their Heavenly
Father.
Many believers understand God as Creator.
Many understand Him as Judge.
Some know Him as Savior.
But far fewer know Him as Abba.
