Radical Revival
Last week as we began Acts chapter 19 we looked
again at what the Bible teaches about the
relationship we can enjoy with God being baptized
with the Holy Spirit. As Paul laid hands on the men
and prayed it says the Holy Spirit came “UPON”
them. I reminded you once again that there are
three distinct relationships we can enjoy with the
Holy Spirit. What a blessing to know the Holy Spirit
is “with” us as He comes “along side” us and then
when we are Born Again and receive Jesus Christ
as our Savior and Lord the Holy Spirit comes “IN” us
and seals us for the day of salvation. Then here in
the book of Acts we learn how the Holy Spirit
“Comes Upon” us so that we can be empowered to
be a witness to God as we go through this life. Most
of us have learned that we cannot serve Jesus
Christ faithfully in our flesh. Jesus really did mean it
when he said in John 15:5,
“For apart from me
you can do nothing.”
