Be of Good Cheer

Everybody needs a cheerleader in their life.

Someone who no matter what the score is doesn’t

give up on you. The good news this morning is

Jesus is your cheerleader. No one wants to see you

win more than Jesus does.

Jesus doesn’t leave in the 7th inning to beat the

traffic, nor does he get up and join the mass exodus

for the exit even though it’s obvious from the score

you are about to lose the game.

More important than the score to Jesus is you!

As I was preparing this week I read a quote by

Charles Stanley that I think the apostle Paul would

have put on his refrigerator to remind him of God’s

faithfulness. The quote said,

“As you walk through

the valley of the unknown, you will find the

footprints of Jesus both in front of you and

beside you.”
