Don’t Worry Be Happy

Paul was trying to help them understand the

persecution that was coming against them from

people who claimed God was on their side. This

was religious persecution. Much like radical muslims

today against Christians.

There is a difference between “the Coming of our

Lord Jesus Christ” and “our gathering together with

Him”

Paul here in chapter 2 is teaching them a

supplement of what he taught them a year or so ago

when he was with them for the three weeks he was

with them.
