The Comfort of The Rapture Pt 1

Our goal should be to take as many people to heaven as possible

The word rapture is not found in most English translations of Scripture, but the concept of it most certainly is.

Latin translations of the New Testament have the word plainly rendered as “rapturo”, which simply means a “catching away or a snatching away.”

When speaking of the Second Coming of Christ the Bible presents the event in two stages.

1. The Rapture of the church where Jesus will come suddenly without notice in the air and “catch away” and “snatch away”

2. Jesus coming to the earth and stepping foot on the Mount of Olives at the end of the 7-year tribulation.

Maybe the easiest way to remember the events of the Second Coming is, In the Rapture Jesus comes for the church and the Second Coming Jesus comes with the church

The Rapture takes place in the air and the Second Coming here on earth.
